1. you will receive a body. you may like it or hate it, but it's yours to keep for the entire period.

we live in a society where we use money to solve our problems.
and i'm haunted by that thought right now.

in trouble with the law? throw a lil money at it and it'll go away.

want someone to do something for you? fork over the dough and it's a done deal.

a recent car crash has me sittin' here in my hammock with an ice pack on my shoulder. unable to do much.

my body's in pain and i'm Stressed out.

i've been having nightmares.

i've been advised not to friggin' yawn, so my jaw doesn't get stuck open again.

holding a camera sends shocks through my shoulders, so working isn't a smart choice.

my car is demolished.

i have no answers from the insurance companies, yet hours of my time is spent dealing with them.

my medical bills are piling up.

according to my doctor, the complications i'm experiencing from the crash may or may not Ever completely go away.

did i mention the emotional trauma and stress?

...and how will all this be resolved?...

the kid's insurance company will offer me money. of course.

like my health and well being can be bought. like there's a dollar amount that's equal to the quality of my life.

i feel like a toy with a price tag on my head.

don't get me wrong, i'm THANKFUL that we were all able to away from it all. i'm thankful that my body is in one piece and all my limbs still function properly. i know that i'll be okay and i know that what i'm dealing with is minimal compared to others less fortunate.

but my jaw might click for the rest of my life. so, what's that worth? $500 maybe $600? and i might be dealing with chronic back problems. tack on another grand at most, right?

and what makes me more valuable as a human being?
the kind of car i drive or the sort of work i do? who my father is or who i know?

i have a dream... no, i'm not going to recite the rest of the speech. :)

i've always dreamed of producing a photo book of children around the world.
i'm Ready to make it a reality and looking for a bit of advice...

my dream looks a little something like this:

some inspired, wonderful investor offers enough up-front funds to have me and my assistant (and fiance) travel the world, hitting small communities and large alike, photographing children in their most natural state. at home, at school, inside thier village, on the streets, whatever is appropriate for each place.

i spend some time with them and take photos that really display the underlying human thread in all of us. invoking that "feeling" that we Really are all connected. regardless of race, ethnicity, location, class, status, age, etc.

then we gather some inspiring, cute quotes from these young people on universal topics such as love, life, "god", & the like and compile a photo book complete with images and insights.

then we publish and sell the book in several different languages. it's wildly successful.

it inspires people to look deeper into their hearts and bridge cultural gaps. how can you be judgemental when looking into the eyes of a 2 year old?...
it causes ripples of positive change and growth across the globe.
it's seen on coffee tables frequently.

that's how it goes, with room for manuevering, of course.

i feel the calling to push beyond what i know to be possible. to make this life one that positively impacts people on a global scale. and the time is now.

i have no idea how that dream will turn to reality, so i'm here asking you fabulous zaadzsters for your input.

i spent all day in the emergency room with my friend roxy. exhausted. energetically Drained. physically Drained. didn't eat. didn't get much sleep the night before. done. just fucking done. she made it home tonight. thankfully, nothing too serious. in good spirits. all is well. the weight lifted. i took a bath. got pretty. went out. brought the doggy. brought my camera. had a nice time. saw beautiful friends. met new ones. took photos. left relatively early. drove home. happy. singing to myself as i walk up to my door. (yes, i sing to myself.) turn key. gate's open. did i leave it open? reach for the door. it's cracked. Definetely didn't leave it cracked. slam door. run to the street. balcony door is wide open. lights off. someone got in. is someone in? do i go in? grab phone. call cops. call wit. come over. now. standing in the middle of the street. head in my hands. doggy on a leash. 2am on a saturday night. crying. confused. scared. angry. vulnerable. walk away. walk away. is someone in? less than 5 minutes. my sweet brother shows up. upset seeing me upset. doesn't happen often. at all. sitting crosslegged in a puddle of emotion on my doorstep. screaming. crying. releasing. pushing through. waking neighbors. not as tough as i let on. screens slit. windows open. vast emptiness. can't go in. don't want to go in. don't want to know. i already know. they got it. i know they got it. my laptop. my external hd. my work. All of my work. photos. writing. music. random creations. (seemingly) my life. i finally go in. trashed. thrashed. amateurs. thieves. ransacked. invaded. *i had just Fucking cleaned too* everything gone. just like that. but i'm part of the good! i love deeply. i honor myself. i have integrity. i live passionately and with purpose. confused. pissed. shocked. a circle of friends around in no time flat. word spreads quick. support. silence. cold air. warm touch. whatever you need. 2 hours later... sweet refuge. tarot cards. eric & karen. t-shirt, panties and knee highs. sweet, sleeping doggy. burst wide open. at peace. laughing at the irony. intrigued by the symbolism. they can have it all. i'm ready for what's next anyway. out with the old. guess this mean i get to start over. blank slate. attachment snatched away. that's kinda neat. somebody's gonna have quite the time going through all my photos. all the love. bliss. community. family. expression. art. beauty. connection. creativity. inspiring for a troubled soul. to say the least. a new world. just hope they don't exploit the dirty ones. keep your eyes peeled. :) my entire life :: smooth. easy. effortless. no drama. the past 2 months :: identity theft. car crash. whiplash. whacked ribs. emergency rooms. break in. burglary. but still... smooth. easy. effortless. no drama. i remain. old stuff stirred up. cleaned out. a clearing. fingers outstrechted. eyes bright. make-up smeared down my face. smiling. crying. laughing. gonna take a lot more than that. if anyone can take it... gracefully unbreakable.
